On May 15, 2013, I booked a room with the Hilton for May 18, 2013 - 72 hours before my stay - since my child was playing in a soccer tournament.  Upon arrival, after being forced to valet park my car and loading my belongings on the cart - I went to check in at the front desk to be told that my reservation was set for WEDNESDAY, MAY 29, 2013.  I told the front desk this is apparently an error and requested to check in and offered to pay extra. Was told the hotel was sold out, so I packed up and drove home. I contacted Hilton to notify them of the mistake to be told that I could not get a refund. When I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager, of course, none was available. In fact, at one point, I was told that the department did not have any managers and on another occasion, I was transferred after waiting on hold for 20 minutes to a voicemail. I sent letters and called over the course of the 11 days prior to the reservation and have not received any response. I then offered to move the reservation to a later time and PAY EXTRA but was told no that there were NO ADVANCE PURCHASE DATES available for the hotel I had chosen- again, those dates were being offered ONLINE, yet the representative told me no.

In my opinion, this is a complete scam, I would have NEVER made a reservation for a day that I was working and my children are in school.  Now, I am ripped off by 265.00.

DO NOT BOOK any rooms with the Hilton - THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AS A CUSTOMER - only want the money and their staff in this department clearly have not been trained appropriately since they lack customer service skills - they talk to you like you are a problem and become argumentative - AGAIN, the HILTON is in the business of ripping off families and their employees are taught to take your money.  Unless you are a Hilton Honor's member, you get transferred to the dungeon with the low class employees who accuse you of making the mistake - Clearly, the internet is set up to rip off people and if this happens to you - take the corporation to small claims - it's about principle.
