Unfortunately the individual filing this "rip off" report was not at the location where work was performed, nor did she ever speak with anyone from our company. She had no dealings with us, except to "bash" us! We were asked by the landlord to furnish and install a new tub/shower valve in his condo unit. He requested that we come to do the work when his building had previously planned to have the building water turned "off", as posted from 9:00am - 4:00pm. We arrived just after 9:30am (to allow the water to drain out of the pipes - and not charge him for time waiting around). We completed our work at 11:10am, installing the 3 handle valve per manufactures instructions in the "off" position. He signed our ticket and we left the home; the tenant and landlord were still there. The next day, the landlord called and said we left the tub on and it overflowed and flooded his unit and the unit below. We returned promptly to check the 3 handle valve and the drain. We ran the water for 10 minutes, and found the drain was working properly and not stopped up. The tub drain and overflow were working, so it was impossible for the tub to overflow and flood the condos! The plumbers found all fittings behind the wall were not leaking, the valve was working properly. Juan, the plumber, found a note on the counter left by the unit owner below, that stated that he found the sink was splashing over the rim, due to high pressure. We did not work on the sink and had no reason to open the faucet. The landlord purposely mislead us to believe that the tub was the cause of the flooding. In total, I spoke with the landlord 5 times, each time respectfully and courteously. He kept insisting that we should pay for all damages, and demanded to speak to the owner. The owner returned his call and listened to the landlord, correcting his demeaning tone regarding the ethnicity. As the owner, again explained our position, the landlord interrupted several times and then threatened that if we did not pay for everything, he would report us to the papers, post on the internet, and call the BBB. The landlord was demanding for us to pay for something we did not do...we did not turn on the sink faucet...we did not cause flooding!!
