HNFS - Hope Now Financial Services - Hope Now Modificaions, offers NO HOPE to Homeowners Cherry Hill, New Jersey
Unfortunately I, as a former employee for Hope Now Financial Services, was scammed by this company. Sal and Nick Puglia owners of this company not only lied to the consumers on a consistent basis, but also lied to their employees. A few of the sales people (those who had consciences, most of the others could care less as long as they made their money) wondered if these modifications were being processed because calls started coming in from clients who sent their money in back in October and nothing had been done.
Some went into foreclosure anyway. Some of files were even lost and therefore the process never even started after months of supposedly being in negotiations. We had a meeting in which we were told they hired attorneys to do the modification because that was the right way of doing modifications. They also said they were working with the Attorney General's office so that they would be in compliance. (Well that lie came back to bite them in the a** because now they really ARE working with the Attorney Generals Office).
That is part of the reason why some of us stayed because we thought they were doing the right thing. Once the investigation started, we were told our name was no longer Hope Now Financial Services and we were now HFSN (third name in 5 months). Then Sal would call the sales force into extremely large office (well I guess it had to be because he is extremely large) with his extremely large flat screen, for an update.
Some of the things he said about mortgage modifications and how we work with the government programs - which we had no part of made me think to myself "Does he really think we are that stupid, or is he just that stupid?" Obviously he is that stupid. All greed and no concern for the consumer. One day they tell us the investigation was dropped to an audit - LIE, the next day the doors are closed. No notification and no paychecks.
Every single one of my clients have been notified and told who to contact. I along with some other employees, thankfully, really were concerned with what would happen to them and their homes. What goes around comes around and hopefully someday Sal and his cohorts will need their own modifications!
