Homans GOODYEAR franchise Redlands California Tune up gone wrong auto repair rip-off
This Rip Off report involves a GOODYEAR franchise located in Redlands California, Phone number 909-793-9999, Service manager name: Gene. My son just paid for a expensive tune up (over $500.00)which involved changing of timing belt,spark plugs, and all other recommended services for the 120k tune up.
Within the first week (1st return), timing belt sounded bad and had to be re-adjusted. Then vehicle had a rough idle, almost stalling at times (2nd return).
Now vehicle stalls after starting and runing for a few minutes, unless driver applies more fuel (this will be 3rd return). None of the symtoms occurred before the california GOODYEAR machanic performed the service.
I could have accomplished this without paying 'Goodyear' to do it. They also broke a spark plug while in the process of replacing them,then proceeded to blame who ever perfomed the last tune up (which was another Goodyear shop), but I have never had any problems with the previous Goodyear shop (which I have had a lot of past service done with).
So we had to pay more money to remove the broken spark plub. This shop is doing its best to turn away any future 'Goodyear' customers, as well as giving Goodyear a bad rap. My son will be passing on his experience to his fellow classmates at the community college.
You would think in these had economic times, any business would appreciate and do their best to get and keep your patronage. Please get the word out.
