I received a sofa that was damaged from this company. Very rude customer service. I bought a sofa and paid in full. My home recently flooded and I lost everything in my home. So I was trying to put furniture in my home without spending a lot of money. So I went to Home Décor thinking I could get something nice. I finally received my sofa and when I took it out of the plastic and took off the card board at the bottom I and my wife found it was damaged. I called the store and the manager who was rude said he would replace it if I paid for another delivery, I told him that wasn't fair because I already paid for a delivery and he said well than you get nothing. I told him I was going to call corporate and he said fine. I called corporate and spoke with Dan and he said he would try to help me. After weeks of being strung along he told me they were going to take care of it and that all he had to do was wait until his manager named Charity signed off on it. I waited for weeks and kept calling it was always the same thing. Dan kept saying they are suppose t call you to take care of this and he will call them to find out what was going on and don't worry, but then finally I kept calling until I received an email from them saying they were not going to help me and it's the movers and me that will have to figure this out. So I called to speak to someone over Dan and got Joel who told me that their is no way that this could have been damaged in their warehouse because they spend millions of dollars a year in quality control and that it had to be damaged at my home. He said they were a small company but they spend millions on quality control each year and nothing comes out damaged from them, but as you can see they have other complaints about damaged merchandise and things happen some times. Then he tells me that if they help everybody that had an issue they would be out of business, very rude. What about me a working class man that is out of his money and got something damaged that was not new, I am out of my money how is that far. He stated that they would pay for half now if I paid for the other half which to me seems like a complete scam, why would I pay half of another sofa after already paying for one. I explained to him why would anyone buy something new get it and then damage it to get another new one, how does that make sense. I just want what I paid for which is a new sofa free from damage. The sofa is in the same place they brought it in and set it at. I have carpet in my living room this has marks like it was dragged across something like metal. Then he said you signed for it, I told him I put my name on the delivery sheet at the store and filled it out and put an amount on the top of it for delivery but that was it. I signed for it when they brought it to my house because the delivery guy said for me t sign stating I got it. He never said I had to open it and inspect it that night or that or that I signed stating it was in perfect shape. I only was asked to sign stating I received it. If they would have told me to inspect it for flaws when they brought it we would have unwrapped it and looked at it that night. I have never experienced customer service like this they are very rude and have a problem telling the truth. All I want is what I paid for just like anyone would want, I feel this company tries to take advantage of hard working people and tries to scam them out of their money.
