Home Maintence Services Felon at it again - take the money and run Hodges Alabama
Contracted on 12/16/08 to build a screened in porch with work to excavation to start on 1/7/08. Contracted price is $13900.00. A deposit of $6000.00 was given on 12/16/07, which he cashed the next day. Work did not start on time as promised on 1/7/08. Contractor returned very few phone calls to date and only visted twice since that initial meeting. Once to hear a complaint about trees fallen and clean up he had not done for five days. Nothing done since... His second visit on 2/4/08 to recommit to a new excavation date of 2/4/08 with a job completion of 2/22/08. Excavation started on 2/13/08 and nothing since....A few phone calls with broken promises and jive. Mr Warren White was told on Thursday that I wanted a meeting with him that evening to discuss going forward with this job. He said he could make it after he was finished with his "other job" that day. I told him I'd cancil my dinner that night and wait for him. He neither showed up or called. Next day his phone mail box was full. I am left with three less hardwood trees in my yard and a water filled red clay mess in my yard - hole is 20 x 48. I want my money back but he has not contacted me or responded to me in any fashion. On 2/29/08 I filed an incident report with the Florence police. I was informed that he pleded guilty to home repair fraud charge last year. They will investigate and turn it over to the D.A for action. I WANT my money back, and poeple warned about contracting with this "gentlemen". He also uses a company named Windows Plus as well
