Got annual membership thru HSC (Home Service Club Warranty). They advertised that they will repair or replace all covered appliances when they break down but NOT!!!! During the year membership period with them..Three covered appliances needed a repair but they either covered partially (very little) for the replacement or none at all!!! First..my water heater stopped working, they covered less than $300 for $1400 unit :-/ Second.. My garage door wouldn't operate because of the spring broke off.. They said it's not covered at all because it's not a moving part.. It's considered as structure of the house. Third..My GE Harmony washer needed a repair.. They assigned the contractor who has the worst communication (can't never get hold of..always the answering machine played when I called) and my washer had an error message on the LCD screen saying "Pressure sensor needed to be repaired or replaced" but that guy ordered "inlet valve" instead and were told we need to wait 2 weeks for the part!!! I still do not get it why would he order the different part than the one from error message from the washer in the first place!! Now the nightmare has just begun. After over 2 weeks of waiting period we had to stop by coin laundry to do our laundry ugh:-( then we still can't get hold of the repair man after many attempts .. Extremely frustrated!! Finally he showed up with the inlet valve after long weeks of waiting he couldn't repair the washer!!!!!
But we still had to pay him $125.00 service call fees!!! Now he calls the warranty company again to get approved for ordering more expensive part(control board $500) of course the warranty company is not willing to pay for another expensive part without knowing that he will be able to fix it or not???? Now three weeks has passed since we couldn't use our washer!!! HSC Warranty said they rather replace the washer for us than ordering another part. Hurray~~ we thought the problem has been solved... NOT!!!!! We had to wait another two weeks for them to finalize the approval. At that point we couldn't wait any longer without the washer so we ran to the store & purchased new washer ourselves. We contacted the HSC numerous times after the purchase to get our reimbursement for the washer but it took many weeks for them to ??????? (don't know honestly) FINALLY the approval department called me up few days ago and said they will send me $200 for the replacement!!!!! Are you fxckin kidding? (Sorry for my French) Our GE Harmony Profile washer was $1400 originally.. I have been paying them monthly for the membership plus $125.00 call fees every time!!!! What in the world they came up with this ridiculous amount for reimbursement for my washer??? They said that is the value of my washer!!!! Enough said!!!! They are scammers!!!! PLEASE RECONSIDER IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR HSC AS YOUR HOME WARRANTY COMPANY!!!! Not worth at ALL & won't save you any money in case of your needs!!! VERY UPSET AND HOPEFULLY THUS WILL SAVE SOME PEOPLE FROM WASTING THEIR MONEY LIKE WE DID :-((
