Home Service Club Threatened me with a slander lawsuit if I tell anyone what they did New York New York
I purchased a home warranty policy from this mob 12 months ago. They are now refusing for the second time this year to cover an item which is clearly listed as a covered item in my policy. After numerous discussions with their supervisors, they still refused to honor my contract. When I mentioned that I would be reporting them to the appropirate consumer watchdog agencies, they threatened me, and said that they would come after me for slander if I did so.
I intend to report this company to every consumer agency that will listen. They happily took my money, and never once covered any of the items their policy says that they will cover. I will not stand for being threatened by a company for providing an honest account of my experience with them. These tactics belong back in the gangster days of old Chicago.
