An Added Note

When a customer enters his/her credit card information, the credit card company automatically "pre-authorizes" the charge. What this means is that the funds are set aside and made available to be captured once the item ships. It is a way to be sure that there are enough funds and that these funds cannot be used up before the merchant ships a product. Mr. Abdullah's credit card was only pre-authorized automatically by his credit card company when he entered his information. Had he looked closer at his credit card, he would have realized that we had not taken any of his money. We would urge anyone to get the facts before making such damaging allegations. ROR a wonderful asset for consumers

Dear Sir or Madam, I truly appreciate your concern for the ROR that was filed against you company. I have to tell you however that it was very apparent to me that the report was suspicious to say the least, and not a report that I would take seriously. Given the fact this this person obviously had no real 'facts' to back up his report, it amounts to little or nothing to the people who read it. It takes more than one report to make others question whether they want to do business with you. Sound to me that you got the raw end of the deal in this case, but before you get upset with ROR as a whole, take some time to truly read some of the legit reports that come through here, and know that for some, these reports can mean the difference between getting a good product and being scammed. As with everything, there is always a bit of bad mixed in with the good, but when the good outweighs the bad, there are times when it's worth the hassle. You've done your part to clear your name, and we appreciate the hassle that you've encountered because someone chose you as their scapegoat. I hope that you pursue the accuser and not the messenger, for in this case, it's one of the wonderful things about living in our country.... Trust in the fact that most people are not idiots, and can tell the difference between a true ripoff and someone just looking for something to write about.

False Allegations

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Fri, July 15, 2005

Dear Rip-Off Report, We recently came across a complaint on your website about our business. The customer states that we ripped him off and that we, supposedly, ship world wide. We never took money from this customer and it clearly states on our website that we only ship to the continental United States. We have never shipped world wide. It's unfortunate that the public is able to so freely post these type of false allegations. It's also unfortunate, that we've just spent 1/2 hour trying to get into your system to respond to this false allegation - when what we should be doing is tending to customers. Please remove this false report from your website or we will be forced to take legal action to protect our business name. Thank you for your time. Homestead Harvest
