M.H. Financial Services, LLC aka Hometown America

A Horrible Company

This company is actually Hometown America it hides behind the name M H Financial Services. They rip you off on your insurance claim checks by refusing to sign it and send it back to you, and they tell you it's their policy. They don't give you any paper work concerning this, they don't tell you upfront, or at any time. You find out somewhere down the line when you finally have an insurance claim - when they refuse to sign the check, fax a letter to your bank, or write a letter to your bank. They don't give the community any paper work on this issue, and more important you have to keep after them just to see this insufficient policy in writing. Beyond all of this - MOST important - They cannot produce anything in writing with your signature, agreeing to this policy or acknowledging it. They even force you under duress to sign the insurance claim check and send it to them if you want to repair damages to your home. They talk to you in a very demeaning manner, treat you with little dignity and respect, and become argumentative if you do not agree, or oppose their position, and unethical treatment. They even change the payee from the policy holder and their name, to the policy holder's name and the contracting company name of one your repair estimates'. They call the contracting company and tell them the check has been sent to you (like you're going to steal the check) even though you may want to go with another company for repairs. M H Financial Services deposit YOUR check in their account and print a different check for HALF the amount! They tell you that you'll receive the other HALF of your repair check when the work is completed, and they have someone from "Hometown America" come to your home and verify that the work is complete. They then send you the other half of your claim check with the policy holder's name and the contracting company name. They call him again to inform him that the check was sent to you (again, like you're going to steal it!). Then you wait some more, until the contractor is ready to start work on your home, and pray they don't run off with half the money. You also pray the contractor understands, and is willing to work for you under these circumstances. Moreover if M H Financial Services is this paranoid, mistrusting, and treats their customers in such a disrespectful manner, then they're in the wrong business. Company's go under all the time, but what Moxie! By the way, the toll-free phone number is 1-866-219-2172 Insurance Claims Department. When they call the contractor (about YOUR check) don't be surprised if they talk smack about you. How's that for "Confidentiality" and the "Privacy Act" ? As long as the work is performed by a licensed, and insured contractor, and in better shape than it was. What else matters? The repairs will have to be in better shape than it was, because it WAS damaged, right? Hometown America has their hand on your LOT RENT, M H Financial Services (AKA Hometown America) has their hand on your MORTGAGE, now do they also get to have their hand on your INSURANCE claim checks? I think this is outrageous! This is a monopoly! This company could have made my experience better by treating us continually with respect, dignity, courtesy, and professionalism. They could have made this policy privy to their customers, presented proof of this policy, and directed me to higher up the ladder to remedy this matter. We, the Homeowners at Hometown America pay their salaries! They take your money. More money! More money! More money! Show them the Money! Forget about peace and reasonable enjoyment of your site, forget about getting Hometown to enforce their own rules, forget about being treated with respect! Forget about Roger Krueger getting off his buttocks to do Manager duties full time or part time, he's busy chasing Sales to make his commissions instead! How can one (1) man take on Dual Full-Time Duties (Sales/Manager) ? Simply, NOT! He very selectively does what mangerial duties he chooses! Forget Donna Vannett and Kim Rackee! They are the worst at treating people with hostility, nasty attitudes, and disrespect. They remind me of out of control witches when you won't conform and be submissive and quiet to their apathetic slacking of their duties and responsibilities. Kim Jones needs some job training because she seems to know very little about her duties, or how to get it done, and apparently doesn't even take notes. All of these people named, seems to have little respect or qualms about talking about your conversations, letters, or complaints to others working for Hometown America, other Homeowners in the Community, Vendors, and even Contractors (Kim Jones) which you hire. I believe in strict rules surrounding privacy, reasonably quiet enjoyment, pets, children, following the community rules, enforcement of the rules by management, 0 tolerance for nepotism, and lot rent. Even evicting a family when they continue to disobey the rules, and laws. The economy is rotten at this time! So if people won't get a grip and are repeat violators, (a set number of times for the same offense within 1 month) I say evict with ample warnings! Yes, move over there are other more appreciative families who want a decent environment to dwell (if the Hometown does there job). When the bad seeds are handled, and dealt with the rest of us can thrive. Letting people and pets live unruly and run a muck, is how mobile home parks get a bad rap! And apathy from the staff and park owners - Hometown America! And for the record, a long length of time one lives in a park doesn't make you exempt from the rules or laws of the land. Without new people moving into the park community there would be even more vacancies.
