Payments online get credited very speedily. They also don't charge you to make the online payment. 6 days for mailing a payment is pretty good. How do you know their PO Box got your payment the next day? Anyway, you mail it on Tuesday, July 8. The US Postal Service gets it at your zip code's processing center on Tuesday night. Then they send it out and by Wednesday night it gets to Honda's zip code's processing center. Then it gets distributed to Honda's PO Box on Thursday. Then, on Friday, someone from Honda goes to the PO Box and picks up all of Thursday's mail. Your payment could either be posted Friday the 11th or Monday the 14th, depending on the speediness of the rep posting your pile. And that scenario is only good if the postal service only took 2 day to get your payment to Honda. By the way, Registered or Certified Mail takes a little longer to get there. With simple interest loans, your payment is charged for the interest incurred since your last payment. If every payment takes 6 days to reach them, you are really not paying any additional interest.
