Hoodia Cut Hoodia Scam-Holes - But They Won't Win! Salt Lake Utah
I June '08 I ordered a $5.95 sample of Hoodia Cut somewhere online (couldn't even tell you where) to see if these diet pills would help reduce my appetite. Once I ordered them I realized it was a bad idea but too late. Little did I know that they had LEACHED on to my credit card number and were now charging $69.95 a month and shipping me more stupid pills that I never knew about! I never even opened my $6 sample! I immediately shipped back the first bunch of pills that showed up along with a letter that said CANCEL! (After waiting in line at the post office and paying $5 for certified mail). I disputed the charge with my credit card immediately and they reversed the charge in July. The end of July more pills showed up and another $69.96 on my credit card. I went through the roof! I had just spent all that time and effort thinking this was all resolved, but no. I spoke with some girl at Hoodia Cut who gave me a confirmation code for my cancellation and said that it "was shipped prior to receiving my cancellation package in June". Bullsh*t! Anyway, I hung up, called my credit card company and gave them the cancellation code and told them what happened. Cut to August. The charges show back up on my credit card. I call my credit card company up and they said that Hoodia Cut sent a rebuttal to my disbute with their standard deceptive advertising bullshit that I never even saw online. They are now trying to hold me to some of the charges. I told the credit card company that I payed the $5.95 sample and that is ALL I will ever, ever pay. I will close the account and they can pay Hoodia Cut anything they want, that this company is a SCAM and if they can't stop them from charging the account then they can pay them! THIS FEDERAL LAW HAS TO BE CHANGED! IT IS ABSURD THAT A CREDIT CARD CO. CANNOT STOP A COMPANY FROM CHARGING TO A CREDIT CARD WHATEVER THEY WANT!
