Hot Headz Marine is a business to avoid at all costs. I called them before going in and was quoted a labor price. They not only charged me more per hour than quoted, but even tripled the hourly rate! They also padded the rate by charging me for more hours than the shop is even open. They charged me for a tool they didn’t have, but should….then kept the tool. The owner did not follow my written instructions for fiberglass work because they are not qualified to work on fiberglass. The owner told me he had 28 years of experience, but I would say he has one year of experience multiplied by 28. They did what they could do, then said they couldn’t match the colors, leaving me with gouges in the gelcoat. That’s like taking your car into a body shop to have a dented fender repaired and instead they paint the fender without making any repairs. No body shop would do that, but this place will. I told the owner twice not to do one repair after I figured out what they were up to, but he went ahead and did it anyway and charged me. I immediately cancelled other repairs on my list once I realized how these people operate.
The owner agreed to refund me $622.00, but he has more excuses than a 10 year old for not making good on his promise. I have that in writing, so he can’t deny it. I am in the process of turning over my file on this shop to the Attorney General of Texas for investigation. They love going after businesses which operate like this. One shop owner in New Caney was just sentenced to 10 years in the state penitentiary for very similar offences. If you do make the mistake of using this business, don’t bother to complain. The owner’s wife told me she is armed at all times and the owner has already been convicted of carrying a weapon unlawfully. It would be in your best interest to just stay away from Hot Headz Marine. Take note of all the complaints they have had.
They will deny that some of those people were even customers, but I have never heard of anyone who complains about a business in detail just for the fun of it. If anything, I would question anyone who says anything positive about this operation. I was in the automotive aftermarket repair business for 35 years and only racked up two complaints in all those years. Both were legitimate complaints, but neither had anything to do with ethics or overcharging. We took care of both complaints and turned those people into lifelong customers. I wish I had never darkened the door of this sleazy operation. There are too many good shops out there which operate legitimately and don’t lie to you. Had this shop been a franchise, they would have had their license pulled years ago.

One, I didn't sign anything until AFTER the partial job was done & only signed to get my boat back.
Two, HHM charged me $1800 to polish my 23' boat. I had my other boat, a 50' three deack boat, polished by another company....for just $2200. This is proof of the RIPOFF!

First Bob is a pissed off customer because he tries to get his boat repaired for free... Bob approved work in writing then charged repairs on his credit card.. for which he turned around and did a charge back with his cc company and it did not go well for him since we had all written signed approvals that we presented to the CC company and they agree we were on the right side and returned the money to us 2 months after there investigation.. So poor Bob is pissed and going around trying to smear our name on every review he can with lies.. if you want the truth come by we keep a file of the customers that try to steal from us and defame us after they lose.. that would include Bob Brink,Randy V.,oh and the biggest cc thief in Huffman. Rusty Petree.

If you don't believe me, fine. Go there & do business with these thugs. Then you can write your own report, right along with all the other negative reports about this "business". They quote one price, and charge a higher price. They pad the bill with hours they don't work on your project.
No, it isn't that they won't do business with me ever again. I fired THEM, not the other way around. I won't EVER darken their door again. Screwed once is enough. They even promised IN WRITING to give me a partial refund. That never happened. Stay as far away as you can from this outfit. Just read their reviews that they can't delete. Horrible!

I want to comment on this false report against our company HOt Headz Marine, We are a small 4 person shop doing a tremendous turn around of repairs to boats and Jet skis, from engine repair to electrical,trailer and fiberglass repair. Bob has Bold face lied in his continued efforts to discredit our business with not facts or truth. This was the only time we have ever worked with Bob and the last.We do all Est. and Invoices in writing ONLY,and was agreed to by Bob and he did so online in email correspondence and even paid days after repair was completed online with our payment link, before he picked up or viewed the boat. then that same week did a chargeback on the CC ... to attempt to steal our work.
Or Rate is $95 per hr. and Bob had his quote in winter at a reduced rate, so not sure what his complaint is ... his invoice clearly shows the rate.. and he signed and agree to it. The 3m removal tool he speaks of is a disposable tool the is used to remove decals from the boat and was approx. $40. We have pics of his boat before and after... we never left any gouges in his boat, except the ones he did not commisions us to repair. We take care to photograph all incoming boats to prevent this type of nonsense.. Our Credit process co. and his own Credit card co. agreed after months of doc. sharing that he was wrong and refunded us the Fees Bob tried to steal. This is the reason we believe he has gone to such lengths to bash our co. on the internet continuously since he lost his case of attempted theft. His Claim of having us investigated.. LOL Really!!
We have signed receipts and emails correspondence from Bob to prove all. And his statement of Gun Carry that is non of his business and only the business of our employees and not sure what that pertains to in this case. As for Customer complaints we have had 3 since 2009 .... not bad for 8 yrs. and were also customers trying to get work for free. Bobs comments of being in the Auto repair industry for 35 yrs. with only 2 complaints ... LOL I know that is a Lie... anyone that went to one of his shops (mieneke)knows better..And back then NO internet/social media/or review sights to post on so who knows how many complaints he really had.... it was only word of mouth..
To close normally I wouldn't even respond to lies of this nature but since he has continued his harrassment of our co. and personally to me and my wife I felt the need after pressing harrassment charges on him with police. So at this point the only thief here is Bob. We Do over 300-400 Boat/Jet ski repairs per yr. and growing everyday, we have had a high volume of satisfied customers... but we are not perfect we work on machines and they can be troublesome at times so we may not get it right the first time but we stand by our work if our customers work with us to make it right, We run a fairly open shop feel free to come in and ask questions... and for all co. when you read review remember there are 2 sides to every issue... get both before deciding.
