Do NOT stay here! This place is a dump!

I was greeted by a man with a French accent (which could've been fake for all I know). He was very polite, but everything went downhill from there. He asked if I had a preference for which floor I wanted to be on. I said anything above the first. So he gave me a room on first floor. Then he said there's a $10/day parking fee (I didn't see it in the fine print on the website). He told me he could reduce it to $8 - a whopping $2 discount - but said that was as far as he could go, as if he'd lose his job if he went a penny more. But when I checked out, I was billed the full $10. So the real price of the hotel is the same as others in the area and those would be better.

Next, it was one disappointment after another:

  • Went to the room, it had a tiny TV and the security latch was broken. So I asked for a different room. I said, "Anything above the first floor." He again gave me a room on the first floor. (The new room did have a large TV.)
  • The paint on the door trim was sloppy and done in a hurry.
  • The sink had no counter space at all because it's jammed in next to the door.
  • There was no soap dish so the soap sticks to the top of the sink.
  • Housecleaning took the barely used soap on the sink and didn't replace it.
  • The room's A/C heater was loud. Sounded like a jet engine.
  • Bathroom was so small you had to squeeze in and stand aside in order to close the door.
  • The toilet didn't flush completely.
  • There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom.
  • There were loud voices in hall all night and again in the morning from the housekeeping staff.
  • Breakfast was a pitiful bare minimum of choices.
  • When leaving the room, the deadbolt wouldn't remain pulled back unless you first turned the inside handle, then grabbed the outside handle in order to close the door.
  • Key card reader on the door latch only worked part of the time.

And for this they have the audacity to charge $110/night plus $10 for parking. The people running this place are like the sleazy used car salesmen of the hotel industry.
