In today's economics I would of thought that companies would want to preserve a good image and work with those that are struggling. Instead these businesses such as HSBC are relying on their preditory instincts by employing people from India for their customer service (which no one can understand), misleading good customers, and implementing bogus processing procedures. Every bank I've ever dealt with past or present had an acceptible online payment methods. HSBC loves to hold one hostage to pay their 12.95 rush payment system. Monday- Thursday (4pm) you can make an online payment. This huge Corporation does not have the software, or capability of accepting payments any other time. My mother is 73 years old and is re-establishing her credit and I pay her payments online. I had a very overheated argument with a representative of India whom I could barely understand. My power was out due to the recent storm and when I got back online to make her payment discovered the "rush" payment system was her only option. Her payment was due Dec. 13th on a Sunday, and here it is Thursday, Dec. 10.
We all need to start stepping up to the plate and fighting these Companies that send our jobs overseas. I will assist my mom on getting this bill paid off, but I will be sending a letter to every politician, every person I believe will listen discussing these preditory practices. So many people are struggling, and if it wasn't for US these companies WOULD NOT exist. No wonder the poor get poorer and the rich get richer. Businesses with these type of practices won't loose any sleep on how they treat us, whether they raise our interest rates, charge us late fees, or force us into rush payments, because they don't care. These people live in million dollar homes, pay themselves million dollar bonuses, and send our jobs out of the country.
Who will help the millions of unemployed people make their house payments, credit card payments because Companies such as HSBC outsources our jobs and takes away our livelyhoods? Who will bail us out?
