HSBC Retail Service Ltd. Are the most unsupportive financial organization to the United State Military personnel. I am an active duty Airman, I had a loan for a motorcycle in 2006. I had orders to the Middle East in late 2006 and because of this I forwarded copies of my orders to HSBC Retail Services Ltd. Under the sailor, soldiers airman relief act, to have my interest payment reduced, to my horror once I arrived at my Duty station, I received an letter from HSBC saying that they would not reduce my interest rate and I was late with my payment and charged me a late fee.

Upon replying to them with a payment, I then received another letter saying that I was in default of my loan, so I wrote to them again asking for an explanation, now the mail takes about 15 20 days to get to and from the States. So the time frame now is 3 months, I continue to make payments during this time. I then went Germany on leave and was able to contact HSBC by telephone to find that they had marked my account delinquent for none payment and passed my loan to a credit collection company, and refused to talk to me, gave me the number of the credit agency and hung up. I have now had my credit report damaged by HSBC and all I did was support my country in the war against terror, My chain of command was unable to help as this is a civil matter.

As I write this I was left wondering how many other military personal have had a bad run in with HSBC unsupportive money grabbing soul-destroying tactics. HSBC has done more damage to my family and me more that any terrorist could have ever done.
