Hello Everyone!

The HSBC VISA billing dispute process is outrageous! I had problems with them in the past, but now I said enough is enough! I'm doing a lot of transactions over the internet, and maybe less than 1% percent of them are problematic.

I made a credit card purchase in the amount of $520, did not receive a satisfaction from the merchant and initiated a dispute claim with HSBC Visa. They sent me the letter dated October 21, 2006 stating that I have to respond within 10 Days from RECEIPT of this letter.

I responded to HSBC Visa within 10 days of RECEIPT of this letter by fax. In couple of days I received a letter from HSBC Visa that that I did not respond within 10 days from THE DATE of the letter and my dispute is closed!

I tried to explain them that there are problems in their communications, but what can you explain to people who sit in India and speak limited English... By the way, they outsourced the customer support to India as did most of the financial institutions.

So now, I have initiated a Class Action lawsuit against Credit Cards, which is NOT limited to HSBC Visa only, for their deseptive tactics in dispute resolutions. You can join the lawsuit at no cost to you if you had or having any problems with credit card billing dispute. It doesn't matter what credit card you hold, it can be Visa MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, etc.,
