Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I am a small business start-up, a bakery that specialized in cupcakes and I'm starting from the ground up. That being said, money spent on advertising isn't in abundance. I had received many emails from www.eventective.com and I decided that I could give it a shot. I pre-paid $25.00 which equated to 10 leads. I've been in buisness almost 2 years and I'm sorry, but who wouldn't respond to an email about cupcakes, honestly. So to have sent out 10 emails directly to these so called "leads" and not one response... especially since these people are "looking for vendors specifically for cupcakes." I call BS. I've wasted $25.00 which I could have used else where. Don't use this company, I should have known as their website looks incredibly archaic and I guess I'll chalk it up to a lesson learned.

Decent experience with Eventective

#2Consumer Comment

So I am also a small business owner that has worked with Eventective off and on for 8 years. I don't believe that Eventective deliberately sends over leads that "lead" to no where. I think it is simply the fact that consumers are searching for information and then they decide to either ignore or respond to the vendors that reach out.

Throughout the years, I have only had 4 leads out of 100's actually book with me, but the profit far outweighed the money I was out of pocket to pay for the $2.50 lead. This past Friday, I actually had a lead come across that has turned into a $4K contract. And actually, this lead was free since the consumer chose my company to send a request to through the eventective website.

It is frustrating when the consumers do not respond, but they are picky, and if they are not interested in your services, or find someone else who has a better email format, better voice, better website, better marketing, then they simply ignore you. It is not at the fault of Eventective and it is not a scam. These are real consumers that choose to put in their info and then choose whether or not they want to work with you.
