I C Systems Harrassing calls to someone other than the debtor Ripoff St. Paul Minnesota
For the last 5 days, IC Systems has called my telephone number asking for someone who does not live here. Sometimes I receive a call twice in one day. They have been told each and every time they are calling the wrong person.
I recited Sections 804(3) and 806 (5) of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and informed the caller the company is in violation. I feel I am being harassed since I have clearly told them to stop calling and they ignore this request.
To add to the frustration, we have had a death in the family. I informed the caller of this, and pleaded with him to cease calling. He put me on hold, did a reverse look up and said he confirmed he was calling the wrong party and assured me on 4/3/07 he would remove my number from the database.
Today the same representative called again twice. I questioned why he called today and was told they were sure they were calling the right number. He recited an address to me that is not mine. I again informed him he was incorrect and he literally called me a liar. I requested a supervisor and he said none were available. He finally said he would keep calling and hung up.
I immediately called the IC Systems number on my caller ID, requested a supervisor, and was connected. I gave her all the information and was told they would remove my number from their database.
I also asked what the company policy was when a supervisor was requested. She told me it was their policy to transfer the call. I informed her their employee refused to do so. She told me they record their calls and it would be looked into. (I doubt it.)
I also asked why my number was called again after I was assured it would be removed and she replied that it could take up to 24 hours to remove my number. I informed the supervisor that it had been 24 hours and she assured me that it was being removed.
