Icon National Finance/ Nicholas Quartz, Avi Hadria, Nancy Truman Mortgage/ Loan company is a scam, took me for 1500.00 Wilmington Delaware
Last summer I applied with this company for a home loan. I spoke with a Nicholas Quartz who assured me that I qualified and he asked for an advance fee for insurance purposes, the total of that fee was 1500.00. He told me to send the money to them to a canadian address via western union. I did and he called me to let me know that they had recieved it and that I should check my bank account in three business days to get the house loan money.
The money never arrived. I called his number back several times only to get voicemail and finally a recording telling me that this number was no longer in service. I emailed him, finally he did call with another number to call him on and informed me that they had made a mistake and would need another thousand dollars to process my loan.
At that point I told him that I needed to cancel my loan and asked that he refund my 1500.00.
He became rude and abusive and then a woman came on the line and told me that I would never see my money again and that there was nothing anyone could do about it. Her name was Nancy Truman.
Since then, I've researched online and found several accounts of this scam by this same company and they have all listed an Avi Hadria as the owner. I've also learned that Nicholas Quartz has started using another name, Maurice Gripps.
