I checked the site from an e-mail link and signed up for the 7 day trial to check Chicago jobs.  1st-the Chicago jobs were just retreads of legal staffing positions (that iHireLegal would have to pay for publishing and profiting from another company's work product) posted by live bricks and mortar staffing agencies. 2nd- a notice pops up that you will be charged $150.00 as a semi-annual charge of the $30.00 a month fee, after the 7 day plan expires. That's a 6 month pre-pay plan, that's not disclosed. The FTC would love to see this. They DON'T DISCLOSE INTENDED COSTS/CHARGES THAT THEY INTEND ON BILLING YOU FOR!! 

This is a totally shady operation that recycles data taken from the internet -- there is nothing original taking place.  The e-mail contacts do not go thru to cancel (I tried) and FYI the number to cancel is 877-798-4854 Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.  If the originating staffing agencies discover what iHire is pulling they will probably have legal counsel send a cease and desist letters as soon as possible.   There's no way to see what you are signing up for ahead of time with this site. 

I signed up for their free trial, and  canceled immediately when I realized that their "jobs" are recycled postings from craigslist, career builder and monster. In my case, 90% came from craigslist.  I cannot believe that they do not make sure that postings are legitimate before posting to their website considering they want to charge a monthly fee for job seekers!

I just looked them up and their addresses and phone numbers are on the sites. Was it not there before when you were trying to "track them down"?

I signed up for iHireLegal.net's trial run.  Cancelled it before trial was over.  However, they charged my debit card $30.  When I tried to email them, there was no way to do so.  So I looked them up and found phone numbers in Ohio, California, and Maryland.  Called every number but just got recordings/voice mails which of course were never returned.  Finally, some gal answered at the Ohio number and told the accounting woman who was the one I needed to talk to was out but she'd have her call me back.  She didn't.  So I called again and got the same girl again.  I told her I wouldn't hang up until she connected me with the person in charge of refunds and that if she hung up on me I would contact the Ohio Attorney General, the media, et al.  She then patched me in to a woman in Virginia who was supposedly the accounting manager.  I read her the riot act and threatened every kind of exposure I could think of at that time.  The next day the $30 was credited back to my debit card.  If anyone needs names/numbers, I know I have them lying around here somewhere amongst TONS of other paperwork, but let me know via response on this site & I'll try to find info. 

One more blow for unemployed job seekers who have run out of all unemployment benefits:  I'm finding many reliable news articles on-line regarding fact that most recruiters (in-house and staffing companies) have unspoken rule/code of refusing to accept applications from anyone who is not "currently employed."  (See, for example, CNNMoney.com article, "Looking for Work?  Unemployed Need Not Apply," written by Chris Isidor, Sr. Writer, on June 16).  A REAL BUMMER FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE SEEKING JOBS AND HAVE JUST EXHAUSTED ALL OUR UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS.  I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but it's better to know about this so that maybe you can figure out another angle to applying for jobs . . .
