IHS Inc. SCAM! Bloomington Minnesota
Well we've all heard of the pyramid scams of course, but what this company doesn't tell you before they have you on a search for their building after they call you is that the job they list is completely different than what it actually is. I was told I'd be interviewing for a marketing position which I was very enthused about being I am a marketing grad. I get there.. check in with the very chatty girl.. and sit and wait. Then a bunch of other people show up and we are all called into one room where we are to talk with our interviewee which was totally awkward because we are all in the same room.
Then we are asked to sit down and watch a series of movie clips and listen to these people talk about how we are going to be selling this crap! I wouldn't have wasted my time if they wouldn't have lied to me about what I was there for. I thought it was a marketing position obviously some sales comes into play with marketing, but this was cold hard selling their crap product.
