Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
my wife and i bought a clayton single wide in the summer of 2000.we moved in and imediately had trouble, starting with the kitchen floor not being glued down.so when the air came on the floor would raise up.

we had screens that had holes in them.the steps were half assed built, the rails quickly came loose.toilets that stop up, i guess too small.the shower in the main bedroom leaked water under the door, which after sending a maint. man out twice still is leaking.

the floor is water damaged.the roof leaked in the main bathroom.heres the ultimate, i sat on the bed to tie my shoes one morning and the leg of the bed went thru the floor.

i just sat there and laughed.then finally my wife called about the heat pump not working corectly.it seems to be over working.they sent a man out to look at it, they didnt tell us we would be charged for the visit.of course they couldnt find nothing wrong then a month later we recieved a bill for the visit $45.00.

currently we waiting on having the whole shower replaced, but i have a feeling they are not going to fix the water damage to the floor.im very unsatisfied with home.

i dont think its going last long enough to pay it off.my grandmother in-law recently bought one and has started to have trouble with hers. if i knew i wasnt recieving inheritence to buy a home later on i would be scared to see what the future would bring living in this tin can.

I just have a question,: did you buy the home new or used? If you bought this home new you could do something about this mess of a house. Call the plant where the house came from and talk to a rep, your house will have a warranty and you have 45 days from the time you move in to write every little problem down and it is suppose to be fixed. If it is putting your family in danger it is suppose to be fixed w/in 5 days. It sounds like a terrible situtation, i wish you luck. I sell mobile homes and would hate to think i put someone in a home like that, but i guess some people only care about the almighty dollar. Maybe this will help, this is Consumer Protection Section 919-716-6000 good luck
