Imation and Best Buy rebate ripoff Houston Texas
Imation offers rebates for purchasing it's consumer products through Best Buy. However, according to the company, fine print in the "Terms of Sale" section of the micro sized information brochure stipulate date of postmark and quantity of rebates allowed limitations that are NOT in the advertisments for the product. Best Buy does not seem to care what happens after the sale either, as long as YOUR MONEY is in THEIR pockets when you leave.
I had two rebates turned down, One because the mail was delayed due to the Anthrax scares that were going on in the mail service at the time, and the other due to a policy that allowed only one per household. I saw no such stipulations in the "Terms of sale" and have only the companies word for it that these policies even exist.
I will never again buy from Imation and recomend anyone lured to purchase ANY Imation product by low prices due to an offered rebate reconsider because YOU'LL NEVER GET THE REBATE!!
