*NOTICE..!! this ripoff has nothing to do with Google search engine - many rip-off businesses use the Google name to fool consumers.

===========================================

Sorry this is so long, but PLEASE read it - and if you have any other helpful advice, I'll be glad to listen. I'm sure you've seen them - those " Google " ads that pop up saying you can make money at home by placing ads on various website online. I used to close those ads as soon as I saw them - well, Saturday, I fell for one of them. I wish now, I had taken the time to look online further for more info, but it looked legit enough, saying that the business was touted by ABC, CNNMoney, CBS , etc., as well as newspapers like the " New York Tribune " and the " Los Angeles Tribune." Only problem is - as I found out later - the New York Tribune went out of business in 1967. The Los Angeles Tribune was a fictional newspaper in the television series "Lou Grant."

On Saturday October 17, 2009, I looked at the Google Jobs at Home ad and gave my credit card information to pay a $1.00 fee for "a kit" which supposedly would allow me to work from home by placing Google ads on various websites. After I submitted my credit card information, I had a screen which gave me my USERNAME and PASSWORD as well as phone number to call if I had any questions. I copied and pasted the info into Windows notepad, since I don't have a printer. The page also said I would recieve an email confirmation. I never received any email from them. I also copied and pasted the Terms of Agreement which stated that I was allowing them to process this transaction on my credit card. When I closed the page, I was routed to www.googleeasystreet.com where I put in my Username and Password. There was another application for me to fill out. There was a page that requested my bank account number and routing number so that the money I received could be direct deposited into my account. The appllication looked like a typical job application. I typed in the info, then I had a PDF (Acrobat) screen of my application to review before I continued. On the side of the screen in small print was a box saying that a $79.95 fee would be charged to me monthly. I absolutely cannot afford that, so I tried to cancel the application. Only problem was, there was no cancellation button, only a Click Next To Continue option. I closed the Window and called the number I had copied and pasted in my Windows note pad ( 1-877-557-5473 ) but reached a recording stating that the business was closed and for me to call back on Monday. Monday morning, one of my little dogs died after a long illness, and I was so distraught, I forgot to call. This morning (Tuesday) I checked my bank account online and saw the $1.00 fee along with a "pending charge" of $129.95 with the phone number 1-877-557-5473 beside it. So I called this morning Tuesday, Oct. 20. to cancel and to question the $129.95 charge. The first person I talked to said I had three days to cancel, and I told him I was calling within the three day period, since it was the 20th. He said I was a day late, since my first day was the 17th, the day I filled out the application. I told him a day was 24 hours which would have made the 18th one day, Monday was the second, Tuesday was the third. Plus, I told him, when I called Saturday, the recording said they were closed until Monday. He said he would cancel the account and for me to call back in about half an hour to confirm. When I called back, I reached a different person who said that the $129.95 fee was non-refundable and he said I should have canceled online. I told him there was no option online to cancel. He said it was on the same screen as the Terms and Agreement. I told him there was no cancellation option on that page and that I had copied and pasted the info and there was no cancellation option listed in what I had copied. I also mentioned the fact that when I tried to call to cancel, the business was closed and that I had had "a death in the family" (my dog) and I had not been able to call until today. He said he would try to refund the fee and for me to call back in half an hour. I asked to speak to a supervisor while I had him on the phone and he said he could not ask for a supervisor. Instead, he took my number and said that a supervisor would call me within half an hour. No one has called me yet. I drove to my local bank. The bank manager listened to me, made a few phone calls, and said they would have to wait until the transaction became a "hard copy" before they could do anything, meaning, it would go from "pending" to "finished." Once it became a hard copy, they would dispute the charge as a fraudulent transaction. They would refund the money and petition the company to cancel and refund the transaction. I told her that the application I filled out look just like an employment application and I had to provide them with my social security number.  I felt like I had inadvertently set up myself for identity theft, which is what I feel their real business is.  She told me not to worry, that it would be okay, but it might take a while. I felt a little better, but not much. I feel like I have a rock in my stomach. When I got back home, I called the number again and got the same treatment. "Someone will call you in half an hour." After I hung up, I filed a complaint online with the Arizona Better Business Bureau, since the business is located in Arizona .  The address the BBB has on them is:

Income Easy Street 29834 N Cave Creek Rd Cave Creek, AZ 85331

I also called about the $1.00 charge.  The only way I was able to do that was by a phone number that showed up on the bank transaction.  By googling their number, I found their website.  www.wowclickmoney.com

This information is there.  It's the first time I have seen it:

"Your Membership is the perfect tool to start making money on the Internet. Weve helped thousands of people achieve their goals. By submitting this form you are ordering Income Easy Street and the trial membership for $1.95 Instant Access. If you do not cancel within the 3-day trial period, you will be charged a one-time amount of $129.95. In addition, you will be provided access to an online Learning Center which will bill at $39.98, unless you cancel, 30-days from the date of enrollment and you will be re-billed every 30 days at $39.98 per month until cancelled. To cancel call 877-562-4163 M-F, 9am-5pm, MST within 3 days of the date you ordered."

I called the number and the lady I talked to said the account was cancelled.  She said she'd send a confirmation email within 30 minutes.  It never came.  I called back and a man said it would take 24 hours.  The problem is, if they didn't cancel the account, another 24 hours will put me outside the 3-day trial period.

So that's the way it stands right now... This has been a troubling three days for me, with this and my little dog dying... I'm usually thorough about finding out info. I put it down to total lack of better judgement.  I know part of it was due to stress over my sick dog.

I just wish I had looked around online before I started this mess. Snopes Info on the ads http://www.snopes.com/fraud/employment/google.asp ABC News looks at it http://abcnews.go.com/Business/work-...8438110&page=4

I've been trying to contact them in order to cancel my account, I managed to get a reply email telling me to contact their office at 888 753 4203.

I was unable to get in touch with anyone who could assist after several calls.

Same thing happened to my wife on her online excursion. She signed up for this bogus trap. Everything is setup to trick you on the google easy street website.

The name for one "Google" like its affiliated with google or some sort. Google should sue this company for making them look bad and using their name to market this gimmick.

The $1.95 clearly states for instant access and of course tiny words on the bottom does say you have 3 days to cancel or you will then be charged 129.95. So I am guessing you must sign up to pay $1.95 try it out for those days then cancel, because on 4th day $129.95 will be charged plus $39.98 a month (for what).

Oh and if you were the unlucky ones that ordered on Thursday (2 days to cancel), Friday (today only), then you do not get to cancel because they are closed. Please call back Monday so I can deny you your refund.

This service is free and GOOGLE actually has this kinda of service (legit) and doesn't require any money, I ran into it before. What your paying for with this company is NADA.

This guy beat the market slump.....and he's beating it with your money.
