Industry Modeling & Talent Studio ripoff Edgewater New Jersey
Industry (scout) approaches my child at the mall with the same line "we are looking for your look".
Well, after been told so many times by diferent people you look like a model. No daught my child wanted to give this opportunity a chance.
She was told she should be acompany by her parents. I was called several times to set up an appointment because she is a minor now I realize this makes them more legitimate according to a parents point of view. We arrive at the first appointment where $850.00 is paid for a photoshoot. Lets not forget these is the only chance other wise you loose the chance to be called again.
That is where the rip off starts. A photoshoot next and following another appointment for the view of pic and composite card set up with the marketing manager Mrs Alvarez.
After 7:30pm appointment we wait at a room till 10:30pm with model and not so model types waiting. Sad children and parents leaving and my suppesion start waking up.
We get to pick 5 pictures with the help of an none prefessional young lady. Very nice but demostrated no knowlege of her expertise.
Next to the marketing manager Mrs. Alvarez who at these point states that composite cards is not the way to go.
Now we need to go on the web for another small fee of 800.
What web? you internet site that only has intructions on how to get to there ripoff.
And lets not forget that is the special of the night. If you do not take it now tomorrow is to late. At this point I am behond my self and realize I have been scammed and never the less infront of my child. After some angry words back and forth with Mrs Alvarez who handed my daughter the negatives back and said call me when you are ready we left the office at 11:00pm at night.
Now we sit home not with picture but with negatives that cost us 850 + 40 for picture right so they say. And a complain report to BBB who wrote back to say they can not persue anything because they are not a law inforcement. Any way our devastation should serve other children and parent to be on the look out for these heart and ego rapist in the industry of modeling & talent.

As I keep researching this Industry Modeling & Talent I discover on the web that they are also AKA Nijah Modeling and New Faces located in New York. They have rip and damage many young hearts. I found out also by reading that the following scam is going on since last year 2004. To bad I did not read before been scammed. I will continue my research and work until I have placed everyone of them where they belong. My queston is when is someone going to have them pay for all they have done? When are they going to get caught by the authorities. I would love to hear some other parents come out. I am willing to sue and looking for many others to join us. I have the so called slides of my daughter pictures sitting in my car compartment draw that cost me $850.00. I have to keep them there so she will not see them and get upset all over. I know as I read around that I am not alone with the slide deal. Please lets get together and stop more children from getting hurt. Thanks!
