Now I find out after using Instant Checkmate, that the state of Iowa does not release marriage and divorce records for a service such as Instant Checkmate to include in their information searches. Of course, the agreement I accepted to use the service acknowledged that I may not get the information I am searching for and the fee is therefore nonrefundable.
Ok, I agreed. However, if an ENTIRE STATE (or county) does not provide public information for a whole category (such as marriages and divorces), then the algorithm should let the user know when they select that state, or a popup appear to advise that only selected categories are available. $25 down the drain. Rip off.
