Integretel, Ripoff unauthorized, bogus charges, I have been crammed San Jose California
Like so many others on here I have been crammed. My lovely Verizon phone bill comes yesterday with $80 in charges to 900 numbers. I don't call 900 numbers, neither does my husband and my children are too small to dial a phone.
I call Verizon, they tell me to call Integretel, *yippee* so I do and they tell me that I have downloaded software that they are charging my $20/min for. How about that?
I tell them that I haven't done this and they do the usual.
Does anyone else have access to your computer? NO
Would your husband have done it? NO
What about your children? Yeah, my three year old spends his days surfing the net while my one year old drools on the keyboard and my 6 month old is telling them what to do. OF COURSE NOT!!
So here comes the one time courtesy offer of 50% off. Like I'm gonna pay one penny for something that I did not do. So I say I'll get back to you, and that is where I am now.
I've read all kinds of stuff on here about this place and apparentally they have infected my innocent computer with one of their dialers, so please, SOMEBODY tell me how to get rid of it!!
I'll update when I get a resolution.

*eureka* After some serious discussion with the lovely customer service department, it seems that my problem has been, at least temporarily, resolved. I won't hold my breath though. I'm sure those hidden charges will come popping up again in the future. For your protection!! If this happens to you, DO: 1- File a complaint with the FTC, the BBB, the Attorney General of California as well as the Attorney General of your home state(if different from California) 2- Contact your phone company and have a 900/700 number block put on your phone, also have a dispute put on the charges. 3- Contact Integretel and tell them that you have done all these things and demand a full 100% refund. They will go through the whole scripted act like with me and pretty much everyone else on here, but do not settle on 50%! You should not pay for what you did not do!! Most Importantly...DO take action, DO files complaints and disputes, because if it's happened to you, it's happened to someone else too. We have to watch out for each other!!
