Intelius - tricked into paying $19/mo charge Looked up the birth date of an old friend for $3.95. Was charged $3.95 and $19.95. Then every month there after was charged $19.95. Bellevue Washington
Intelius offers information on people. I wanted the birthday information of an old acqaintances and agreed to pay $3.95. I got the informqation and was charged $3.95 and $19.95. The next month I was charged $19.95 again, and again the next month.
I NEVER agreed to be charge anything more that $3.95 and only used this service once. I was aware and careful to not sign up for any additional services. In my opinion this service operates fraudulently, misrepresenting itself, and surreptitious enrolls customers into services they never asked for.
I called and asked for restitution of the $59.85. The operator tried to sell me other services and which point I pointedly demand that my card be credited for these fraudulent charges. She stated it would take 5 days.
