INTELIUS ripoff, intelius, credit card fraud, illegal, scam, misleading, dishonest Bellvue Washington
Much like everyone else, I found this site searching yahoo people.
My employer ran a criminal background check on me recently, and I wanted to see what was found. I thought 19.95 for 24 hour access to "all reports" was not a bad deal, so trusting of Yahoo as I am, I submitted my credit card information and moved right along to the search.
I found 2 records that were me, with incorrect average income, age wasn't listed, phone number wasn't listed. Also, people with my name all over had the same average income and house price.
I proceeded to click "criminal check" and was absolutely shocked by the "$19.95 Club Price: $17.95" which was the service I thought I had just purchased. I thought maybe i had got logged out somehow, but NOPE. I used their "contact us" feature, and noticed it was created to avoid any kind of negative feedback. There was no billing or refund option. So feeling really stupid, I looked at their terms of service (which i do not being linked when i aggreed to them, but took it for granted they were an honest buisness)
I was devastated that they offered no customer satisfaction guaruntee, and guarunteed no refund.
I do not make much money, and it is rare that I have enough to do anything but pay bills, and then i get scammed by these snakes in the grass..
