#2REBUTTAL Individual responds

Sorry to hear that you did not receive any call backs... However, I was not employed with this company at the time of your complaint and therefore was unable to return your call.  I'm am sorry that you were not successful in your venture - however, it appears that you spoke with many individuals in your research to arrive at your decision that appear to have said good things about the company that resulted in your decision to join.  As with many franchises... some do well while others do not.  This is often due to issues outside of the franchisor otherwise all were have complaints.  By your own statements you spoke with several that apparently said good things.  The key to success is partly due to the system the franchisor provides and the skills and other attributes provided by the franchisee.  Floor Covering International provides the same training, tools and resources to all of it's franchisees so it's difficult to know why others were successful and not you.

I would encourage you to use legal recourse to address any scam you feel occured - my experience with the company did not reveal any unethical practice on their part.  I find "Tom" the manager you reference to be a very respect and ethical individual who is respected throughout the business and franchise community.

With that being said,  this may simply not have been a good business venture for you for a variety of unknown reasons.  I know of many that were very successful and have said good things about their experience.  The company had gone through ownership and management changes at this time that may have accounted for your problems.

In regards to any comments or implications that I was non-responsive - that's an unfair claim if I was not employed there or never received your calls.   However, I do wish you well.
