When I was hired at IPA I was on unemployement, my husband had just been badly injured and was on disability and I needed a job desperately so that we could pay our bills. IPA called me from seeing my resume online and I went in for an interview.
They wanted to hire me on the spot and I was flattered. (I should have known better) The very first day of training, the "trainer", who said he was a lawyer, dropped the F-Bomb sprinkled with other expletives the entire day. Not only that, but he used offensive phrases like "balls to the wall" and then said that "women use their bodies to get ahead in the business world". I was disgusted and I said something to him and he embarassed me in front of the whole class by commenting about me in a sexual way.
They tease their employees with their ferraris and their high achievements. (There are pictures of the owner John Burgess, and President Clinton all over the place-which, in retrospect should have tipped me off that this was not a company run by respectable people). What they are really doing is getting kids, young kids from disadvantaged areas and telling them they can be rich if they follow their plan. They make them call on companies and lie and bully their way into making appointments with a consultant the business owner doesn't even want to see.
They will even train them to say they're calling from a different company, or lie and say they want to do a big deal with them and buy large amounts of their products. It's hideous. Not only is the business aspect of it bad, but there is a whole lot of sex happening in that building. The girls are encouraged to dress trashily, the boys are encouraged to act like they are working in a stud barn. The owner took the top salesguys to a bachelor party for one of them on a private plane with topless stuardesses. It is widely talked about that the owner "takes care" of his money-makers, including providing them with cocaine, marijuana, girls, and bail money if needed.
One of the guys I worked with got into a drunk driving related accident and the owner even hired him a lawyer. It's a frightening place to work and I'm totally embarassed I was suckered into it and that I stuck it out so long. It was miserable and I'm so glad I left there and I hope the truth comes out eventually.

Fist Fights in the Hall Ways

I have also read a couple of court documents and newspaper articles about fist fights that occur regularly in the hall ways at IPA corporate headquarters. Some have documented seeing employees that come back from their breaks with white rings around the edges of their nostrils and eyes that appear glassy and their pupils dialated. Sexual harrassment is no stranger to John Burgess and IPA. In fact, I believe that his first wife required the use of a restaining order, to keep Burgess away from her during their divorce proceedings. All of things should shout out a big warning sign to others . . . STAY AWAY! The employees posting rebuttals here have apparently no idea what is taking place in their own backyard either that or they are completely oblivious to what is going on around them or they being paid quite handsomly to post these erroneous comments about IPA. Over 100 complaints have been filed at the BBB against IPA in the last 8 months. That should say a whole heck of a lot about whether or not anyone from IPA has the ability to speak the truth.

I am a moderator of a Yahoo group on IPA and have received several similar reports of the IPA environment and drug use. Most people wont go on the record. The Federal Agency EEOC has a complaint against IPA. Copy of EEOC case against IPA http://www.ipaopinions.com/eeocvsipa.pdf Public post about IPA, BCs and Several insiders say Burgess and his inner circle are heavily into kinky sex & BDSM. The BC department is prey. Burgess wife started there. Participation is a key to advancement and entry into the IPA inner circle.
