You need to file an online complaint with the FTC, contact your AG's office and the AG's office where this company is located. You should also contact the radio station where you heard the ad and advise them of what has transpired. Good luck. IF the collection agency calls you back, make sure you have a phone recorder and tell them you are recording the call (unless you first check your state laws to find out if it is legal to record without notifying the other party). Check out other websites for your legal rights with regards to collections....and Good Luck!

I have now been contacted by Monterey Financial Services demanding payment. I called and asked to talk to a manager. He was nothing more than a thug and bully. Everytime I tried to explain to him he would cut me off and yell and call me a liar and intimate that I was a dead beat. He threatened to send the account to a collection agency that would cost me way more in charges and the letter from them threatened to ruin my credit report. I have looked this company up on the internet and they have a really bad rep. I think they might be the same company. If you call the number on the credit card you get Monterey instead of Internet Speedway. On Complaints.com I have read the exact same story from someone else. I have notified the US Postal Inspectors Office, what else can I do. Any suggestions?
