Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We have a timeshare, and got a call recently from Angela with Interval Realty. Her pitch was that for a 'listing and marketing' fee of $399, she would market our timeshare to companies who need extra space for corporate events and gifts to clients.

In our conversation, Angela quoted our market rental value of our timeshare as high as $3000; which of course sounded too good to be true.

The funny catch was that before she could list it in their system, we had to pay a $399 fee for that service....this was BEFORE they would send us the contract with the guarantee.

She also said that they are over at the convention center in orlando almost daily. I called the convention center and they only rent out space to one large event/company at a time, and from there that client does what they want with boothes, spaces, etc...

Also checked BBB (which funny enough she recomended), and they have numerous complaints.

When she called back to check my interest, she was combative and very testy on the phone, and then hung up on me--which confirms my own suspicions.

Be very careful of anyone who will "market, sell, or rent" your timeshare and needs a fee up front before you get to see the contract!!

I'm surprised you even responded. How you know how 'busy' I am or who I am is beyond me. I am merely stating the facts of my experience with "interval". Further, I'm surprised the REAL Interval International hasn't contacted you for trademark infringement, as I'm sure many (like me) were confused or found your company to be similar to Interval International. You need to get busy responding to other compaints and also the BBB. There is another post I saw today that referred to your pitch regarding using the orlando convention center...again false you guys don't use the convention center, both of us talked with them. I do believe you're a fraud. I'm not in to spam which is why my last name isn't here, but you do your research and call me, k? I'm in your system.

Hey Adam, It's obvious in your response that you totally avoided the issues laid out in the OP. 1. The OP alleges that your business demands a $399 fee BEFORE the customer can see the contract. You did not address that point. 2. Interval Realty has an unsatisfactory record with the BBB due to unresolved complaints. You did not address that point. 3. The OP alleges that your employee was combative and very testy on the phone, and then hung up rudely. You did not address that point. I do agree with you on one point, however. You are not good at writing "rebuttels."

We're sorry that you feel this way about our company. I can understand that some clients are gun shy when it comes to making an important financial decision, this however is not the case. Fact of the matter is that regardless of where you go, what service is provided, there is always going to be a fee involved whether it be upfront or after the service has been completed. Where the local classified section of your newspaper sells your items, an upfront fee is required. When you eat at McDonalds or Burger King......Guess what? Pay before you eat! All we wanted here was the opportunity to provide a service that both the client as well as the company needed. To file a Complaint with the rip off report shows that this potential client has more time than I do, We're good at our jobs, not writing rebuttels to unwarranted issues.
