JM, The packaging clearly states that you have to buy it. Nowhere on the package does it say it is free to use. Nowhere. I recieved the same software, and am looking at it right now. >> Here is what the big bold print at the very top of the cover says: "Same great TaxCut software you used last year" "Right to your door!" "Easy to buy!" "Save time with software delivered to you!" >> I don't see what is confusing about that. No ripoff here. Just another case of someone unable or unwilling to READ!

work that way. The free trial version is normally crippled in some fashion - in other words it does NOT do everything that the PAID version will do. In this case, it will not print or electronically file your return unless you pay for the full feature program. This is not a ripoff. IF the trial version did everything the full version did, what would be your incentive to purchase the program? Answer: none.
