I switched back to TurboTax after years of using Txxxxt-big mistake.
I receive a mailer each year with my new TurboTax CD. I have just thoroughly read the mailer and nowhere on it does it say there is a charge for Federal e-filing. State yes which I knew, you have to pay 19.95 for the State e-file.

I get to the screen after the ad for their credit card refund method and the total fee page shows a separate "Refund Processing Service Fee" for 29.95, not including the State Fee. Not until I reached this screen did the software or the mailer say anything about a fee for Federal e-filing!

Intuits VP is full of crap.

So I need to pay these thieves 49.90 for the privilege of e-filing. Never Again!!

Different Fee But Still Feeling Ripped Off!

I indeed was paying 19.95 for the State E-file and 29.95 for the Direct Deposit service.

Nothing was charged to E-file my Federal Return and have it Direct Deposited.

I saw red and flew off the handle when that screen popped up.  I wasn't clear on the reason but $50 more on top of the $65 paid for the program.

I just check my records and I did not pay this last year!!

I just wish they mentioned the fee up front.

$29.95 for Direct Deposit for My State Filing only-come on!!

I filed the State Return by Mail.

You are getting your federal taxes filed for free. You are getting charged for the method of which you are getting your refund. Let me guess, you wanted it direct deposited in to your bank account? That's what you are being charged for. If you would have them send you a papercheck in the mail you wouldn't have that fee.
