On November 12th, 2007, I have attended a "Get Motivated" seminar held in Columbus, Ohio. At the seminar; Phil Town, one of the speakers introduced the attendees to Success Magazine's / Invest Tools workshop on "Investing in Stocks". I was interested in the workshop and decided to enroll for the workshop as it was promised that it is risk free.

Interested individuals were asked to give credit card info and attend the 2 day workshop held at the convention center in Columbus, OH

It is supposedly "100% Satisfaction Guarantee" and that during the first day of the workshop, I will be asked if the credit card can be charged and I have the option of continuing the workshop the second day.

Well, after the morning session of the first day and maybe half an hour into the second half realized that I will have no benefit from Invest Tools. So, instead of disturbing the class decided to leave the material on the chair and head for the door.

Couple of days later to my dismay, my credit card was charged even though I did not attend the second day of the class.

(1)

I have narrated the above to Success Magazine's / Invest Tools customer service but they were unable to help me with my request.

(2)

The Customer service informed that the accounting department will have to address this issue and will call me back in few days. I received a call sayinh that a "Cancellation Form" was not signed and so the monies can't refunded at this time

(3)

I reported a dispute with Discover Card. The Credit card company gave me temporary refund but then after few days the charge appeared back on the credit card statement.

The credit card company was not able to dispute. So I went online to see if there were other people who were affected by investools.com and this pretty muc their modus operandi. Entice people to attend a 2 day class and then charge the card even if the individual does not like the class.

Legitimate companies should honor their word. Hopefully the lies and deciet will come out soon and innocent individuals will not fall prey to frauds like investools.com

After reading your post I can not fault the company. You did not let anyone know you were leaving, you did not communicate with the company reps that you needed to cancel your transaction. You just got up and left on the 2nd day no less...(why I'm not sure). I have no affiliation with the company but as a neutral third party my opinion is you could have handled this more responsibly.
