I contacted Its Just Lunch a few years ago to find out what it was about. I decided it was not a great time for me to be bound to a dating service. I have been widowed for a while with a child who I have been quite devoted. She was still too young for me to spend time driving to neighboring towns to date. In May they contacted me. They said they had dates in my area and were looking for more matches. I vacillated. They finally got the big gun out who convinced me that there was no time like the present and what was I waiting for, was Mr Right just going to show up on my door step? In June/July I signed a contract promising one to two dates per month. I had to go through a "dating coach" at my age I know how to date, how to dress, know how to act, but I needed coaching which was nothing but a waste of one of my months of dating. They provided one date who was not a match for me in the least.
The next month there was nothing, the fourth month I was stood up by a date for the first time in my life! They sent me a gift card for 25 dollars to make it up to me, really?! The fifth month brought a different "dating coordinator" I turned down a date, accepted another, and then tere was nothing. So for my over 4000 dollars to the most successful dating serivce in the world I had two dates, one embarrassment, and one turned down, hardly the one to two dates per month and certainly not the "find you a man by December" I was promised. (wait! that makes me sound desparate, those were her words)
They require an up front fee and then a monthly fee. You are into their company for about 4000.00 once told. Possibly in a larger area they may have better results but not in mine. I am within a two hour drive from Charlotte, Hickory and High Point NC, Greenville and Columbia SC, Knoxville TN, and live in a major NC town. Just to clarify, I AM a very attractive woman. I used the service with the thought I would meet quality men my age. Not so!
I would never recommend this service! They push you into signing with them then do not come through on their end of the contract. They cannot provide dates and stall you while they try to push men/women into sign up too. Crazy business model.
