Ivory White lied about free trial of tooth whitener product and charged my credit card $78.41 then wouldn't refund money Internet Internet
While taking a survey that promised a free Ipod I had to try a few products and services to qualify. Ivory White offered a trial for a few dollars so I ordered their tooth whitening product. When the whitening kit arrived, the box said "Free Trial," so imagine my surprise when I was billed $78.41! When I called Ivory White to have the charge taken off my credit card, they refused. After talking to them for several minutes, they said all they could only credit me was $45 because even if I returned the free trial kit, there would be a $30 repackaging fee, and I would have to pay the shipping. Now I am waiting for a call from a supervisor, but I have my doubts that I will have the entire $78.41 refunded. Nowhere in the survey promotion for the product did it say I would be charged this amount for their "free trial." It's outrageous that they are ripping people off in this way. The company seems to only exist online, although their phone number on my credit card statement said Boulder, CO (866-4415235). I could not find a listing for this business in the yellow pages. So if you are taking a survey and come across an offer from Ivory White, leave that web page as fast as you can. I have purchased many things online over the years, and this is the first scam I've encountered. Another Ripoff Report about Ivory White appears on this site, and the author suggests a class action suit against them. I am in favor of such an action and urge others who may have been robbed to join.

You asked where it told you you would be charged $78.41. It is under "How The Offer Works" on the same page that you entered your credit card information. It states that after 10 days unless you decide to cancel we will conveniently bill you $78.41 for the full tooth whitening Complete Program. It gives you the exact charge of the product, when that charge will occur and what to do to avoid that charge - If you cancel during the Free Trial introduction offer, you will be given 15 days from the day you cancel to return the unopened, unused Complete Program portion of the whitening program (the two unused syringes in the Complete Program box) in order to assure you will not be billed (please see our no-hassle product return policy below for details) for the Complete Program. So nothing has happened to you that you were not told about when you placed your order. There is a box online that has to be checked off stating that you did in fact read understand and agree to these terms.
