i would like to set the record straight about this repair. the original motor had a bad cylinder and would not pass smog. the customer opted to change the motor using a junk yard engine as it was the cheapest way to go. the truck ran fine until she took it through a car wash. she then returned complaining of no power, i checked the truck for free, determined it was transmission related, it did take a few days to diagnose bcoz it didnt always do it. the customer expected the repair to be free, i couldnt do that bcoz the problem was not related to the engine, it was a sensor at the back of the transmission that got damaged from water. this sensor was 3 feet away from the engine, there was no was possible that the engine install caused this. i do all the work here myself, i stand behind all i do, i have a very good relationship with my customers bcoz i am honest and do good work but i will not be taken advantaged of. this customer also accused me of damaging the trucks radiator fan after she went through the car wash, once again, if this was the case she wouldnt have been able to drive the truck problem free as long as she did. i try to please my customers but sometimes you have to stand your ground, thanks for reading, mike
