J & J Painting Zac or Jordan Granski Deck ruined by poor prep and sloppy stain application Internet, Georgia
Hired J & J Painting to strip our deck and restain it. They failed to strip is correctly the first time, and though asked not to, they applied stain. The staining job looked terrible and was uneven and sticky. They were asked to come out and remove that coat of stain and they came out, didn't remove any stain and instead repeated the staining right before a rain storm. Now the stain is bubbly, uneven and so sticky we can't walk on it. They refuse to come out and correct the problem, they half sanded the deck today. The worker sat most of the time that the boss wasn't around. I took pictures of him on my deck "resting".
Our deck looks horrible with bubbled up stain and poor sanding. The stain is very unevenly applied, with drip spots and staining under the two coats.
Unreliable and lazy.

We filed this rip off report when we were having very little if any communication with this company in the early stages of correcting the problems with our deck. We felt ripped off at the time and don't feel kindly about being threatened with slander. These types of forums are for venting just such frustrations. Our deck has since been corrected thanks in a large part to Rene. We are grateful for Rene's continuing to work with us until our problems were solved. We consider this matter over and done with.

J & J Painting has gone out of our way to rectify the problem and though it took a lot longer than expected we did not run from the situation ... instead we made every effort to make Mr. and Mrs. Scott Woods happy. The project has been completed and we have settled up and closed this situation. A "RIP OFF" would be a company that took money and ran away from the project ...though several of the demands regarding time were not met we never stopped trying to satisfy our customer .... hardly a rip off. As a business owner my goal is to make every customer happy unfortunately we could not make this customer happy .... HOWEVER ....this is borderline slander when the term rip off is used in association with J & J Painting of Georgia and I have hundreds of hand written references to back this up.
