Do not blame Travelers Insurance for what happened. I completely agree with Amanda Lee, you probably wanted the bare minimum insurance so you didn't have to pay as much and now you are paying for it in the end. As an insurance agent I do not want my customers in this type of situation so I refuse to write coverages this low. If you hit and total a car do you think you can replace that car for $10,000? What kind of new car can you purchase for $10,000? If your insurance company paid the damages then obviously they felt it was an accurate amount. If your insurance company felt that Travelers was out of line with their bill then they would not have paid it. Bottom line make sure you have the proper coverges on your insurance policy and you won't have to deal with problems like this.

You had an at fault accident where you caused a construction company property damage of 14000$. Your insurance company Infinity Insurance paid Travelers Insurance the full 10000$ that you had on your policy for property damage. You were actually 4000$ short. Obviously you can't get cash from a turnip... You caused the accident and you are responsible for all damages. I wish you would explain why it is everybody elses' fault but yours? You did not purchase enough PD to cover the loss. That is your fault. You still owe Travelers Insurance another 4000$ that they pd to the construction company to replace or repair the damage you caused. You also still owe for the guardrail. May be you need to blame your agent for selling you this policy with such low coverages (that I am sure you complained to them about the price)or blaming your parents for not making you do your homework so you could learn how to read your own policy and it's limitations. PS You never told us your excuse for having this accident in the first place.

Sorry I typed it fast and I just now noticed all the typos. The name of the company that defrauded my auto insurance is St. Paul Travelers.
