My husband was first contacted at his place of employment by a women named Mary McGrane from Cambece Law office at the end of January 2009. He then told her that she needed to give me a call and gave her my number to be contacted. I was told that an account of mine had been sent to there office for collections and was given the balance of 23000 dollars. I was told that if I did not satisfy the balance duewith 1800 as of that day I would be taken to court or my husband's credit would suffer for this account.

At first I didn't know what to do. I had some credit debt but was working on monthly payments, had fallen behind on two of them and I was assuming that it was just another collection agency trying to scam money out of me.

I told Ms. McGrane my situation and her rebuttle was that she did not care about my situation and told me I had no rights and I am not allowed to 'dicatate terms' to her 'client. And that her client wouldnt settle with

a smaller payment. We then hung up and I receieved another call from this office by a gentlemen named Andrew Laforge. He was even harder to explain the situation to.

I asked for proof of who this company is and they did agree to fax me a letter stating who they were and what i owed and the original debtor... sounds on the 'up and up' right??

That's not the half of it. After I verified the company. I grew scared thinking that they could possibly take me to court if I didn't pay, so I offered to make payments on the account. He then told me again that I was not allowed to 'dictate terms' and that he would tell me what I was going to do. And that the smaller payment wasn't going to satisfy his client.

After ending that phone conversation by abruptly hanging up the phone on me I received several harrassing phone calls over the next couple of days, consisting of 'Mr.Laforge' calling me at my place of business after I told him to please not call my work. Until one day, I received a phone call at home and told him that it was against the law for him to keep calling me since I did request it verbally and told him I was not allowed to accept personal phone calls at work. He then told me to Don't tell me what I can and can not do" and hung up the phone.

Today I received a phone call at home and was told that I needed to satisfy the remainder balance and if I was not able to they were going to take me to court. And that they had my banking information and would

taking the amount out.

I told them I could not and that I would make the payment I offered them when I got paid. Then Mr Laforge said that by my refusal I was recommeding suit as of today and hung up. I , them after being hung up on did a search on this computer on the interent seeing if they were on a scam or ripoff report. Much to my when connecting to the site I did find that this company was a ripoff. I then took the situation to my local police department and made a report. I told my local police department that when these people called I did notice that in the background there was more people talking . Which I truly believe that if it was a Law office that it would be the attorneys receptionist. So with that much noise and the way they were talking to me I was concern that I was being scammed. It is now on file with the police department and other scam authories.

Please be aware of this company. They will no to any lenghts to get you to give them your account numbers or what ever information they need to completer there deceptive work.

I have been sued by them, and believe me they will come after you. They may be a rip off, but they are a legit (well as legit as they can for scumbags) company. The most valuable piece of info I an give you is..the day you receive a summons and need to file and answer..do not file Yes! big mistake. Make them proove that you owe the debt, and that the acct number is right, the amount, the time frame. They have to, without a doubt connect you with that card. Look up how to file an answer on the net. you will see. I also was told this by a lawyer yesterday (Feb 20, 2009) Gluck
