Document everything. Start with the reason that necessitates this law firm contacting you, and record every interaction. Make sure that all parties understand that they are being recorded, and have all your facts in order. Don't think for a moment that a layer as tenacious as the one you are describing won't. He will introduce quite a bit of evidence including ample documentation to prove his case, that is after all his job. You will have to prove to a court that his evidence is incorrect with evidence of your own and with reason, not emotion. He will have the advantage of knowing what is admissible, and how best to use it to his advantage because again, that's his job so you will want to make sure you have a real case and are not being driven by emotion.
I made this mistake once trying to argue my way out of an $800 credit card I defaulted on. When my arguments didn't work I just assumed they would simply garnish my wages for what was relativity a small sum since am employed, and with the same company for over twenty five years, standard information one must give to obtain a credit card. Instead, they sent the police to my house who arrested me and locked me up for about two hours before getting to see a Judge... who ruled that my wages be garnished for the $800. I have never had anything like that happen to me so you can imagine how I felt, but the fact is that I defaulted on the card, and everything done was within the law. He doesn't sound like a nice man, but I have to admit, if I ever needed serious legal representation, this guy is exactly the kind of lawyer I would want fighting for me.

You need to document and tape the conversations with these dirt bags. There is a new agency
of the federal government known as the consumer protection financial bureau. File a complaint with them.
You need to ignore their tactics and hit them with the state attorney general.
You can probably hire a consumer attorney with NACA. They want to be debt collectors then
hit them in court. I would file a complaint in Florida and they state they are licensed. Give them two the trouble.
good luck to you.

Why would you expect Mr. Cambece to post a message on a blog to you? First His firm already posted an invitation for you to contact him. It would be inappropriate for any CEO/owner/president to be wasting their time going back and fourth on a blog, What would that serve except to entertain those who enjoy such voyeuristic entertainment. His office extended an invitation. Should he have also included all the personal details regarding the case? That would really make for some salacious reading. People may take pleasure in ganging upon him, out doing each other trying to come up with the nastiest insults or... the parties involved could handle their situation and everyone else could Watch Maury Povich.

How about a rebuttal from James Anthony Cambece, after all it is his license your are representing. I have contacted the Attorney General and Board of Counsels in MA. I am sure you will be hearing from them.
