James E. Silverstein is a con artist and a nastly and slimy thug. If you need legal services he will overcharge you like crazy and then insist on stealing the funds without doing the contracted work. You will ask him repeatedly to just return the unearned money and he will laugh in your face as he normally gets away with it.He is even getting away with it in this case as he will lie, cheat, and steal to make any money. Money and status are all that matter to James E. Silverstein. He is fresh out of law school and he doesn't have an idealistic bone in his body.
He then will hook up with the adversaries to try to damage you further and he will arrogantly and callously attempt to misrepresent your case to anyone who will listen.
His partner in crime, Peter Knecht, is just as bad or worse. Both men will be entrusted with your life and liberty and they will betray such trust in the most spectacular of ways. They will commit libel and slander per se if you dare request what is due you. They will invent scenarios and omit crucial facts to ruin your excellent name.They will try to use the "crazy card." to extricate themselves from any situation that promises to expose them as the wicked weasels they are.
They figure they are immune as they will pay off judges and obstruct justice and they are indeed capable of doing so and have done so in the past. But, all they have suceeded in doing is postponing justice.
If you don't want to be stuck with years of hardship and needless litigation avoid Hollywood wannabes and phonies, James E. Silverstein and Peter L. Knecht, at all costs.
Los Angeles does have a reputation for stunning political corruption but there must be some half way decent lawyers who wouldn't sell you out as these "men" will.

Mr. James E. Silverstein treats his clients like trash. He files no motions and is just the laziest and nastiest sleazeball. He is as rotten as it gets. He is also a nutjob without impulse control and he writes sick things on the internet and in legal papers when he is confronted by his lies. He is a nauseating character- a theif and a dirtbag of the most dangerous kind. If you are looking for a lawyer in Los Angeles do not hire the unproffesional a*****e that is James Evan Silverstein.
