We contracted a videogrpher for our wedding dvd through James Spada. After some time, the dvd stopped playing in the middle so I contacted James in April 2008. He told me to send it to him and he would look at it and remake it for us. I did, he emailed me back that he received it, and would get back to me once he figured out what was wrong. I have been calling him for almost 1 year now with no return call or contact. I accepted that it probably could not be fixed, so I even offered to come pick it up from him. If he could not figure out what was wrong we could at least salvage the beginning of our wedding day that did play. That dvd cost $600 (5 years ago) and now we have nothing, not even a dvd that only plays up to the church vows.

I am disheartened to find out now after trying to contact him at least twice a month for almost a year, with no response ever, that he has now washed his hands of all his obligations and like a whimp "claimed bankruptcy". I am also disappointed with all the reports I have stumbled upon who have lost more $$ than we have by trusting him. Thanks James, for screwing everyone due to your own irresponsible actions. You knew all last year where you were headed and still couldn't at least just contact me and give the dvd back to us!? I would really like to know what all the other people who were ripped off are doing about it. Although what we lost is minimal in some report comparisons, we still lost part of our wedding memories that we paid for.

Don't fall for the old bankruptcy ploy. Verify that he has indeed filed the court papers for bankruptcy in the county court system. If he has not then go after him in small claims court. Too many people fall for the bankruptcy sob story over the phone or in a letter. Verify first.
