Jane Garcia Money Laundering Scheme, complete SCAM, please please please be aware! Internet
I was contacted by Paul Anthony Designs Inc., for an interior design position with their firm. I never applied for this position, but Jane Garcia had said she would immediately extend an interview after viewing it on Hot Jobs. They included their address in Cresskill New Jersey and a weird website address.
After Googling the company, I discovered this was an unusual scam. "Paul Anthony Designs Inc.", the "design company", is using the same street address as Paul Anthony Designs the florist, a real company located in the same exact street address. I also knew this was fishy when the telephone number of "Paul Anthony Designs, Inc." the so called "Design Company" was using a different telephone number than the one outlined by the real Paul Anthony Designs. After calling the real Paul Anthony Designs, the florist, they confirmed that they have received several phone calls in regards to this " interior design" position and that it was a money laundering scheme.
In short, the scamming company is using the same address and name as an original, legitimate florist, to scam job searchers. I can't believe they expected to get away with this one! Please, don't get caught up in this scheme!
