JC Christensen And Associates, INC. Robot collection calls to a number that previously must have accured some debt but not me!!! Sauk Rapids, Minnesota
I have been receiving robot calls from this debt collector for over a week they come in every morning at 9 AM and when I finally called back their 866 number and got someone they attempted to demand my name. I told them I was only calling to inform them they are calling an old number and that I have only had this number for two weeks and I could not possibly have any debts related to them. I informed them that continued calling would get them reported to the MN Attorney General. Again they attempted to bluster me off into giving them my name. Before I hung up I again told them any further calls would be passed onto the State of MN.
I now see that have already been fined by the State for harassing techniques used in the past to the tune of $6000.00! I may get call forwarding just so I can send the calls to Qwest who was of zero help in my request to have their calls blocked from being received by my phone which we all know in this day and age can easily be done!

Send (and fax) the collection agency a letter via Certified Mail + Return Receipt (do NOT use regular mail) stating:
Per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, cease all communications with me about this alleged debt. This is not my debt. Receipt of this letter is officially being time stamped via Certified Mail. I will pursue each subsequent phone call from your office with a $1,000 per incident penalty for Fair Debt Collection Practices Act violations
