I took medical leave to care for my common law wife. She died and I took more leave to put her to rest and suffered grief. While out I was told to call in weekly and told I would be fired when I returned to work.
When I retuned to work I was cursed out and told I was about to be fired for milking the leave. Within a month or so I was fired and told it was for others reasons that were on going and common in the work place. I was soon told by other co-workers that everyone was getting yelled at and fired for doing the same thing, taking unscheduled sick leave or FMLA.
Are there any EX-J.C. Penney management/HR personal that could contact me concerning this and the reasons why a company like J.C. Penney offers PTO/Vacation/Illness Recovery etc., but, when someone has a baby or develops a chronic illness they are treated un-justly or fired for it? I am almost homeless over it!
