i ordered some window blinds back in october 2007 from jcpennys website, and then i just checked my bank statements and they were taking out 9.95 dollars a month very upset that i didnt catch it before. I called the number on my bank statement they said that i clicked the box for a 10.00 off rebate but it said nothing about charging me monthly and also said they emailed me but never recieved do to the security of my emails. That is not fair i have three children and not much money. Hope they are happy ripping people off that have children to feed!!! because at $40.00 is food out of there mouth. my mistake for not checking but who ever thought it would come to that

Not your fault

This is by no means your fault. This is a scam that is happening to a lot of people who never hit any buttom or told any rep over the phone they wanted to join. Even people going in the store using any kind of credit or bank card is getting this charge. Please do not just let it go. Take a few minutes and contact the attorney general for your state and the state of Texas. Also the BBB. All of this can be done online and only takes a second to let them know this also happened to you. I figure why not take this time, I had to take the time to make numerous calls to this company about the charges and to my bank to cancel my card so they cannot charge anything else, so I certainly do not mind taking time to try to get this stopped.

Thank you for the insider information. I am now dealing with a collection agency for what I believe is one of these bogus programs. Not only did I NOT agree to be signed up via phone or internet, my mailing address was changed so I would never see the charges and no attempt was made by JCP to collect the debt themselves. JCP Collections dept is a horror story by itself as I have read, so not attempting to collect the debt first, tells me they knew it was bogus from the beginning. The first I learned of this was a week ago when the collection agency called and this first hit my account in back in January! Approx $100.00 I have only my credit report to go by as so far no one will tell me what the charges are for. I sent dispute letters to JCP, the collection agency calling and one other company I was told I also had to dispute to. All were sent via Certified mail, signature required. JCP charged off the bogus debt and then sold it to the collection agency for pennies. I also filed complaints with the FTC, TX State Attorney General's office and the US Postal service. I called the USPS Inspectors office and they told me that changing my address without my knowledge or consent is MAIL FRAUD.

ok, here we go...my girlfriend works for this company and absolutely hates it as well as feels bad about they are doing. she has been wrote up for not swindling elderly people, for not calling them by there first name, for for giving callers there due refunds and for not not enrolling people in other scams the company offers. here is exactly how they get you guys and yes I'm sorry to say JcPennys is in on it to. when go to jcpennys and you buy something and you try to return it there is some kind of incentive that you agree to receive and that simple agreement gives them authorization to deduct the 9.95 from your account. the next way they get people is through mail enhancement products(so guys please beware). there Re numerous other scams that this company has and here they go so you might either want to print this or grab a pin and write it down...Plan plus, Perfect home rewards, Leisure plus, Savings to go, And quest savers. now if my girlfriend loses her job it will be all worth it if her info to me saves some peoples money cause I know times are getting hard. as far as the refunds to my knowledge the max they will give you is 6 months but they rarely give that cause they either talk the individual in to keeping it or the individual isn't stern enough. you see through this whole report I never called you guys customers cause you have to be willing to shop and clearly if your reading this you weren't that willing. my baby comes home almost everyday in tears because she really thinks she is lying to guys about how great this scam is(theirs not many honest people out her but believe me she is the needle in the hay stack)and why you should keep it. they have her encouraging elderly people to keep something that they have absolutely no need for and even if the person states sincerely that they just can't afford it because they are on a fixed income she must continue to convince them its worth it. for every retain the employees get(a retain is keeping you guys)a certain dollar amount off of that and will receive a bonus check at the end of the month. another number for them is 1-888-527-6839 and they are located in the aegon building at 2700 w. plano pkwy in plano, tx 75075. its not just jcPennys in on this scam. we have the maker of the george forman grill, rightsize smoothie(weight loss product) and of course male enhancement products. its most done with products purchased over the phone or on the internet, when they offer you guys a promotion to receive 10-20 bucks off your purchase this is what you are agreeing to. they easily get there money bac cause you guys usually don't catch it for several months. there are other scams out there through this company to so get a pin and write this down or print this out....GET A PIN I WILL WAIT..........OK HERE WE GO...Plan plus, Perfect home rewards, Leisure plus, Savings to go, And quest savers! look at this, here goes a text I just received...(I had a note on my desk sayin i needed to call the customers by their first name and i need to try to make them keep fun fam rewards. And i needed to be more enthusiastic on the call. I wrote back that i dont feel comfortable callin my elders by their first name and i dont Believe in fun fam and with the threat of being fired anyday i am not enthusiastic at all! But i will fake the job! I cant wait for his response.) Now that's the inside stuff! the company had a meeting stating how they were in the process of getting all of the negative talk about them off the web so TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THIS SCAM WHILE IT CAN STILL BE VALIDATED. with all of that said....the most important thing I have to say is watch your money cause others are!

IF YOU had read what you were agreeing to then MAYBE YOU wouldn't have taken the money out of your poor starving Ethiopian children's mouths. drama queen. take responsibility for your own actions. you didnt read -- YOUR BAD IS RIGHT. you say you called and found out what happened. did you ASK to be un-enrolled?? did you ASK for a credit? not everything is handed to you... sometimes you gotta work for it. call 1 800 542 0800 its jcpenney credit services, but it doesnt matter where the charges appear. ask for fun family rewards they transfer you you ask to discontinue service, say u never signed up, ask for credit. done now you have more time to waste blogging about how jc penney is nothing but a bunch of crooks

It's amazing how you people come on this site and say "IF you've had any problems, please feel free to contact our office and we'll research it and straighten it out. The same "canned" response. YOU set up a crooked, rip off, con job that rips people off and THEN you're more then glad to help them? Give me a frickin' break. HOW MANY DOZENS OF COMPLAINTS ARE THERE, FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF BY THIS SCAM OF YOUR'S, ON THIS SITE ALONE? I dumped jcp years ago after having a jcp cc for over 20 years. Same went for sears. When are these companies gonna learn? They figure they're gonna lose maybe 2 or 3% of their regular customer but just think of the millons we're gonna make off the sheep that WILL take it. Don't take it. Cut up your cards and shop elsewhere. If enough people do, they'll fire the moron who thought up this scam, until the next one.
